ABOUT US

 We are family farm for breeding horses for recreational riding registered with the Ministry of Agriculture. Istvan of familily farm is a competitor on the national and international level, licensed instructor, and equestrian judge. Farm is also known by name "Mountain Riders".

Istvan has a program in place to help new riders learn to ride safely and with maximum respect for the horses. Recently published peer-reviewed studies have indicated that horses are intelligent, and because they cannot speak in a language we can understand (they can understand body language 98% better than us and sense of smell is 5X better than any dog), they need kindness and understanding due to our weaknesses in this direction, and this is what he teaches. 

The founding equestrian brings years of experience organizing and guiding trail rides in Montenegro:  the mountainous Krnovo region, the Lake Skadar region, on  the beaches of Ulcinj, and in and around the famous Njeguši Valley. 

Mountain Riders seeks to give guests from around the world the opportunity to experience the unique beauty of Montenegro through the eyes of the horse. In a way that makes you happy that the horses are happy, healthy, and loved. 

CERTIFICATIONS

Certifications as per national law:  trail leaders are certified by both international and national sports universities or equestrian federations as “Operational Riding Instructors”, and hold Red Cross First Aid certifications. Trail leaders are registered owners/employees.
